How to debug issues

What to do in case of errors or other issues with Salon Booking?

If you are experiencing an issue with our plugin you need to perform one of these steps before contacting us:

1 – Update Salon Booking System to the latest version - Follow our change-log

We use to make new releases almost every two weeks, as we add new features and fix some bugs.

So the starting point of your debugging process is to check if you are using the latest version and also make sure you are using an updated version of the php.

- FREE edition users need to update the plugin from the back-end of their website from the "Plugins" section

- PRO users from Codecanyon need to log-in into their Codecanyon account and download the last version and replace the current one installed. No data will be lost.

- PRO users from our official website can update from the "Plugins" section of their website and if it's not working they can log-in here:

https://www.salonbookingsystem.com/purchase-history/

and download the last version and replace the current one installed.

2 - Identify possible Php errors

Assuming that your Php version is up-to-date,  you need to enable the WordPress debug and the debug log as explained here:

https://wordpress.org/support/article/debugging-in-wordpress/

Then disable the "Ajax steps" option from "Settings > Style > Ajax steps"

Then make a test again and see if any error message appear and report it to us

2 – Conflict with other plugins

Sometimes our plugin could conflict with one of your active plugins so the first thing to do is to deactivate all of them, except Salon Booking, and see If the problem disappear.

If so you are on the right way, enable your plugins one by one until the problem appear again.

3 – Conflict with the current theme

Sometimes happens that even deactivating all your plugins in use the problem persists, it’s time now to switch to a standard WordPress theme and see what’s happen.

The problem is disappeared now? Then there is a conflict with your current theme.

We used to test Salon Booking with the major stock themes  and obviously with standard WordPress themes.

That means that we want to be sure that our plugin is working well with top-notch themes.

You should be aware that using low cost or bad coded themes could compromise the correct functionality of our plugin.

So try to choose good quality stock themes for your website.

4- If nothing above has worked

When you are pretty sure that all above tests have been unsuccessfully performed, well in this case get in contact with us:
